Devon grew up in Waterbury, Connecticut, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership and teamwork as a senior captain of the Kennedy High School football team. His passion for youth development began while serving for five years as a Head Counselor at a sports camp in Waterbury, inspiring a career centered on mentoring and leadership.
Devon joined the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield in January 2015 as an intern from Western Connecticut State University and became a full-time Program Coordinator in 2016. A four-year football player at Western and ECAC Bowl champion, Devon earned his B.S. in Health Promotion Studies with a concentration in Community Health. Over the years, the Club has played a pivotal role in shaping Devon as a leader, just as he has helped elevate the Club through his versatility, collaboration, and commitment to excellence.
Previously serving as the Gem Club Advisor, Devon led character and leadership programming for fifth graders, guiding youth-driven initiatives focused on bullying prevention and recycling. He also leads the Club’s Flag Football and Spring Basketball leagues, each engaging more than 100 members annually, and has been instrumental in catapulting award-winning programs like Triple Play.
A trusted leader among staff, Devon is deeply excited to expand the Club’s impact and serve youth in Danbury, bringing opportunity, mentorship, and connection to a community close to his heart. For Devon, the Boys & Girls Club is more than a workplace—it’s where he knows Great Futures Start Here.
