The Chemistry of Cooking

For the young chef or chemist, we are pleased to introduce The Chemistry of Cooking taught by Jeff Goncalves, Senior Program Director and Joe Haskins, Program Coordinator! A blend of both science and the culinary arts, this informative, fun and interactive course will not only give members the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiments, they will also master delicious recipes while learning the chemistry behind their creations!

Little Artist, Big Artwork

Tuesdays 2/27, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2
Age Group: 1st to 8th Grade

For our budding artists, Little Artists, Big Artwork, taught by our very own Arts Coordinator Emily, will introduce youth in 1st-8th grade to a variety of art mediums, ranging from different types of painting, to drawing and sketching, even to clay! Participants will end the 6 week session with a range of different pieces of art they will be able to take home and proudly display for all to see!

Lacrosse 101

Wednesdays 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3
Age Group: 1st to 3rd Grade

Ever wanted to learn the basics of America’s fastest-growing sport, taught by a true Ridgefield Tiger Legend? Now you can! In Lacrosse 101, taught by RHS Lacrosse Alumni, former Springfield College Lacrosse player, and our current Program Manager Tim Cozens, players will have the opportunity to learn how to pass, catch, shoot and play the sport of lacrosse in a fun and laid back setting! All you need is a stick, no extra equipment is necessary! Don’t have a lacrosse stick? Not a problem, Coach Tim has one you can borrow!

All Sports Academy

Fridays 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5

Age Group: 1st to 5th Grade

To round out this session of specialty programs, we are excited to bring back a fan favorite, All Sports Academy! Join us as Devon Lawrence, Program Director, and Triston “Big Paw” Philip, Program Coordinator help participants develop their skill sets in a wide range of sports! We will cover a new sport every week and will provide children with instruction on the offensive and defensive aspects of each sport, as well as focus on working as a team. Sports include: Floor Hockey, Football, Baseball/Softball, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball and Soccer.
