Jeff first joined the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield as a volunteer coach for the Doin’ Time Baseball Academy in 2011 and became a part‑time After‑School Staff member in the fall of 2012. From day one, he formed an immediate and natural connection with our middle school members. When the Club opened the Middle School Lounge, Jeff was the clear choice to lead it as our Middle School Lounge Supervisor. Under his leadership, middle school participation skyrocketed—and continues to grow year after year.
In January 2015, Jeff was promoted to Program Coordinator, working closely with the program team to deliver impactful daily programming across all five core areas of youth development. During the 2014–2015 school year, he advised the 5th‑grade character and leadership group, GEM Club, leading them to win the statewide recycling challenge in his very first year. In the fall of 2015, Jeff became the Club’s Torch Club Advisor, guiding middle school students through projects in service, leadership, education, and social recreation. His members nominated him for the Torch Club Advisor of the Year Award—an early sign of the influence he would go on to have.
Summer after summer, Jeff took on major leadership roles at camp—from serving as Head Counselor for Group Three, to becoming Group Two Director, overseeing the largest camp group, to directing the Leaders in Training program during its biggest year ever. He also took on responsibility as a head lifeguard, a Certified Pool Operator, and an alternate camp director.
Today, Jeff serves as the Unit Director for the Ridgefield Clubhouse, where he oversees all day‑to‑day Club operations and ensures that every young person who walks through the doors experiences a safe, supportive, and dynamic environment.
In this role, Jeff has transformed Ridgefield’s teen programming into one of the most recognized and respected models in the entire Boys & Girls Club movement. Under his leadership, the Club’s teen engagement, program structure, youth‑led initiatives, and national visibility have reached unprecedented levels. Jeff’s ability to connect with teens, understand their needs, and create spaces where they can lead, grow, and thrive has put Ridgefield’s teen programs on the map—earning accolades, national attention, and becoming a model that other Clubs across the country now look to replicate.
Jeff’s passion for youth development didn’t start in the classroom—it started right here at the Club. What began as volunteer work turned into a calling. After seeing firsthand the impact he could make, Jeff committed himself fully to a career dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential.
