Club Families,
As noted in previous communications, with the closing of Ridgefield Public
Schools, the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield will be closed as of tomorrow,
March 13th, until further notice.

The Ridgefield club has received the 2019 National Honor Award for Character and Leadership Development from the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The distinction was announced May 3 in Houston, Texas, at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s 113th national conference.

Last night, in front of energetic and supportive Boys and Girls Club peers, as well as community leaders, government officials, Club board members and families, Ridgefield High School senior Allie Cauchon was named 2019 Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year.

The Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club’s middle school program, the Ridgefield Tigers Torch Club, cleaned up on national awards this year, bringing home two awards for programs and also having one of its leadership team earn national recognition.

The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield started the month of March hosting its 4th Annual Leadership Dinner and Youth of the Year Night at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury. The Dinner honored the Club’s Character and Leadership Program members in Keystone Club, Torch Club and Gem Club for their commitment and achievements.

The Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club learned Aug. 31 that its Tiger’s Paw Torch Club won two of the five national awards given to the middle school level programs this year. The Torch Club won best national project for its “Linking Hearts and Hands” program, and also the “Service to Club and Community” award.

The Ridgefield Club received The Arts Merit Award for their performing arts programs, particularly Jammin' with Jess and Coffee House, as well as a $2,500 grant from MetLife Foundation.
