This time of year always reminds us why we do what we do: the joy, potential, and promise that comes with every child who walks through our doors.

We have some truly exciting news to share! Earlier today we announced an important and inspiring milestone for our organization — and we’re thrilled to now share that news with you, our Club family.

The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield is expanding our mission in a meaningful way. Beginning January 2026, we will open a new, full-time Clubhouse in the heart of downtown Danbury, at 12 Boughton Street. This new space will give even more young people access to the safe, welcoming, and enriching environment that is the foundation of our Club.

For many years, families from Danbury have joined us each summer because they value us as a dependable, supportive place where their kids can learn, grow, and thrive. We’ve always known these children deserve more than just a few weeks of summer camp — they deserve a place to call their own all year long. Like our Ridgefield Clubhouse, the new Danbury Clubhouse will serve children and teens in grades 1 through 12 with programming in our five core areas — after school, during school vacations, and in the summer.

Let me be absolutely clear: although we are expanding our physical footprint into Danbury, this will not impact the excellent programs and dedicated care you know and trust here in Ridgefield. Ridgefield remains our home, our heart, and our highest priority. The same incredible staff, leadership, and programs you’ve come to know and love will continue to serve Ridgefield youth every day.

Opening a Clubhouse in Danbury is a dream long in the making — one born from our deep commitment to serve more young people who need us most. This growth aligns with the broader mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of America to engage more kids, in more places, with greater impact. We’re proud to join other leading Clubs nationwide in operating multiple sites, bringing the power of the Club experience to new communities.

This milestone is possible because of you — our families, donors, volunteers, and partners who believe in our mission and stand with us every step of the way. Your trust and support have laid the foundation for this moment, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
